How VI-Pod Haptic Technology Scores vs HD Haptics?

VI-Pod Haptic technology is called DeepHapticstm. The latest specifications for HD (High Definition) Haptics according to Hapticsif.org are depicted in the graphics below. We compare the ratings between the HD Haptic specifications and the VI-Pod DeepHaptic performances. Because our technology is dedicated to experiencing realistic physical feeling when seated in a seat with large multichannel Haptic emissive panels, it is not possible to match the measurement methodologies used for HD Haptics since the purpose of defining these specifications is mostly for applying haptic stimuli to small area of the human body i.e. Fingers, wrist, ETC.
A fundamental difference between HD Haptic specifications and VI-Pod Deephaptics is, as suggested by its name, inducing haptic stimuli deep in the body. The configuration of its haptic emissive panels, plus the extensive real time DSP, provide a focal point that trigger realistic feeling across the body, even in the gut and the chest. 80 % of the human body is plunged in an immersive experience. But we also call our DeepHaptic technology "HD Haptics" since it currently scores above the Hapticsif.org specifications. Thanks to many years of R&D that allowed us to reach this impressive performance.

Different haptic purposes mean different challenges. The haptic systems for simulating physical touchless feedback or micro tactile touch feelings use small area transducers. These system's purposes are to providing Functional Feedback.

In the mid haptic zone, you will get some of the haptic stimuli including motions that are interesting but not universal and frankly far from being HiFi as claimed.

At the opposite spectrum of haptic usage is the body haptic stimuli that focus on creating realistic physical feeling from acoustic energy and mechanical impacts on the human body. This creates a full body immersion with music, movies, videogames, not limited by software release for each new content!!!  So you are always free of additional charges and ready to experiencing new stuffs!

How Haptic Sensory Works on Vi-Pod Systems?

A) The VI-Pod high definition haptic technology is no comparaison on the market place. That's why it is important to understand how to adjust the haptic sensory gain to your body sensitivity.
It is mandatory that you first adjust the audio volume of your headphone according to your taste without haptic gain . For optimal results, you must set the volume of your headphone to the equivalent of the sound volume of commercial cinema, say at 5 to 10 OClock! on the VI-Pod chair. Then make sure that the audio volume on your computer is between 50 and 70%.

B) Then gradually bring in the haptic sensitivity gain to the Thin Sensory or the Immersive Zone.
Thin Sensory means that when the soundtrack is crescendo you will occasionaly feel some sensory in your body, especially at your solar plexus like being close to musicians performing live.
Immersive Zone means the haptic sensory will be felt in your whole body like being at a live rock concert or being virtually transported into a game virtual world or an action movie.
Enjoy this unique expérience with this exclusive high definition haptic digital technology by VI-Pod.
